The drive's operation is managed by the SOMMER GIGAcontrol controller with a 5-line text LCD display with a dynamic menu. The controller automatically recognises the direction of rotation of the motor, which simplifies start-up, and programming is easy — via three standard buttons.
In premises with many users a maintenance password for the site comes in handy, protecting the door's settings from accidental change. The GIGAcontrol also offers individual configuration options, matched to the way a particular door works.
Safety and Emergency Release
In industrial premises the priority is the safety of people and property and the continuous functioning of the door. SOMMER automation is meant to guarantee continuous functionality, fast opening and closing and the safety of people and property.
An important element is the emergency release — in the event of a power cut the door can still be opened or closed. That matters during winter outages, which in the Podlasie climate are not uncommon. After fitting we show staff how to use the emergency release.
