Venetian blinds — 16 and 25 mm slats

Venetian blinds are a classic that simply works. Tilting the slats lets you decide how much light to let in — you can scatter the harsh afternoon sun or shade the room completely without touching the curtains. They prove their worth especially in the kitchen and bathroom, since they aren't bothered by moisture and are easy to wipe down.

Our venetian blinds are modern and functional. They're available with slats in widths of 16 mm and 25 mm — the narrower slat looks more discreet on small windows, the wider one sits more calmly on large glazed areas. We fix them to the window sash, so they work whether or not the window is tilted open.

  • Integrated chain mechanism — raising and adjusting in one movement.
  • Concealed mounting system — simple fitting that doesn't damage the window profile.
  • For windows made of PVC, aluminium and wood.
  • Hard-wearing in use, easy to keep clean.

If you're planning to replace your windows along with the shading, take a look at our range of PVC windows — we'll match the whole thing together.

Wooden and aluminium blinds

The slat material changes the character of a room, which is why we have two basic variants.

Aluminium blinds

Lightweight, durable and moisture-resistant — aluminium doesn't warp from steam or sun. It's a sensible choice for utility rooms and anywhere you want a simple, neat look. Available in many slat widths, including 16 and 25 mm tapes, and in a wide palette of colours — you'll match them to white joinery and to wood-coloured windows alike.

Wooden blinds

Wood brings a warmth that aluminium can't. The natural grain of the slats suits a living room, bedroom or study and sits beautifully with wooden floors. It's a more decorative solution — it looks superb on large glazed areas.

Vertical blinds (verticals) and day & night

When a window is wide and a venetian blind would be too heavy to handle, we reach for other designs.

Vertical blinds (verticals)

Verticals are vertical strips of fabric that you rotate on their own axis and slide to the side. They feel most at home on wide windows, corner glazing and balcony doors. You rotate the slats when you just want to dim the room, or slide the whole set aside when you're stepping out onto the balcony or terrace.

  • Fabrics: from sheer, gently light-diffusing to thick blackout.
  • Slat width: available in several slat widths; wider strips sit more calmly on large windows.
  • Operation: chain and slide, optionally a motorised version.

Day & night blinds

A day & night blind combines strips of sheer and opaque fabric. By sliding the material, you move smoothly from full daylight, through gentle diffusion, to almost complete blackout — without changing the blind. It's a convenient solution for living rooms and bedrooms, where needs change many times over the course of a day.

Façade blinds (external)

Façade blinds are fitted outside, in front of the glass, and that's the fundamental difference from internal shading. They stop the sun before it heats the glass, so the interior doesn't turn into a greenhouse in summer. In practice that means less stuffy afternoons and less work for the air conditioning.

In the Podlasie climate, where summer can really beat down and winter bites, this kind of shading works on two fronts. In the heat it protects against overheating, and lowered slats add a layer of air at the glass, which helps cut heat loss on colder days.

  • Protection against overheating — reflects the sun's rays before they warm the interior.
  • Light control — tilting slats give a smooth transition from full daylight to shade.
  • Privacy — you can see out, but no one can see in from the street.
  • Façade aesthetics — a modern look that sits well with large glazed areas.

If you're also considering full blackout or burglary protection, compare with our range of roller shutters. And to let fresh air in during summer without the insects, add insect screens at the same time — we'll do it all in one visit.

Control and fitting

You can operate blinds in several ways — from the simplest chain to control from your phone. We match the variant to how often and from where you use the shading, and to whether the window is easy to reach.

Manual control

Integrated chain mechanism, cord or crank. A cheap, reliable, proven solution — the most common choice for single windows in a flat. It needs no power supply or configuration.

Automatic control

An electric motor operated by remote or a wall switch. Handy for hard-to-reach windows, large glazed areas and façade blinds. Control is manual as standard, automatic as an option.

How the fitting works

First a free on-site survey — we come out, check the windows and advise on the type of blind and the mounting method. Then we prepare a free quote. Once you accept, we order the made-to-measure shading and arrange professional fitting. We also handle transport, and afterwards there's aftercare. We work locally in Białystok and the surrounding area, and fitting blinds involves no wet work, so we carry it out in the winter season too.

Frequently asked questions

What slat widths are venetian blinds available in?
We offer venetian blinds with slats in widths of 16 mm and 25 mm. The narrower slat looks more discreet on small windows, while the wider one sits more calmly on large glazed areas. Control is by an integrated chain mechanism.
Does fitting blinds damage the window profile?
No. We fix venetian blinds with a concealed mounting system whose fitting doesn't damage the window profile. As a result they work regardless of whether the sash is open, and the warranty on your joinery stays intact. They suit windows made of PVC, aluminium and wood.
How does a façade blind differ from an internal one?
A façade blind is fitted outside the window and stops the sun before it heats the glass — so it effectively protects the interior from overheating. An internal blind controls light and privacy, but the glass has already had time to warm up.
What is a day & night blind?
A day & night blind combines strips of sheer and opaque fabric. By sliding the material, you move smoothly from full daylight, through gentle diffusion, to almost complete blackout — without changing the blind. It's a convenient choice for living rooms and bedrooms.
How much do blinds cost in Białystok?
The price depends on the type (venetian, vertical, day & night or façade), the window dimensions, the slat material and the control method. Aluminium blinds are the cheapest; wooden and façade blinds cost more. We give the exact price after a free survey — no obligation.
