Indoor fabric roller blinds

Fabric roller blinds are the simplest way to take charge of light and privacy in a room — fitted on the window itself or right next to it, with no interference to the façade. The Pro-Plast range has four proven lines of indoor blind: FINEZJA, BESTA, STANDARD and MINI. They differ in how they're mounted and finished, so for every window we'll pick the one that genuinely fits.

FINEZJA — cassette blind with a single guide rail

A blind in an elegant cassette with a single guide rail, screwed or glued to the glazing beads of the sash or to the window frame. The cassette and fabric sit within the glass aperture, and the guide rails are glued to the glazing beads. The mechanism is self-braking — the blind stops wherever you set it, with no cords to tie off. Tidy side end caps are an added bonus. The cassette and aluminium rails come as standard in white and brown; for an extra charge there's silver, plus woodgrain finishes: light oak, oak, golden oak, mahogany and cherry.

BESTA — twin-rail cassette, ideal for older buildings

BESTA is a blind in a cassette with two guide rails, glued to the sash or window frame. Unlike FINEZJA, the cassette does not sit within the glass aperture, and once the blind is rolled up it becomes completely invisible. It has a modern, distinctive shape and is glued on in full or hung on special brackets, so it doesn't "damage" the window. It's the ideal solution for older buildings and anywhere you don't want to drill into the frame. The cassette and aluminium rails come as standard in white, silver and brown; from the RAL palette for an extra charge.

STANDARD and MINI — free-hanging blinds, 11 fitting colours

STANDARD and MINI are free-hanging blinds that can be mounted anywhere — to the reveal, the wall or the ceiling. Both have a self-braking mechanism and a neat, rounded shape. MINI is the smaller version of STANDARD — it works well on small windows and anywhere you want a compact cassette. The fittings come in as many as 11 colours: white, grey, brown, pink, yellow, beige, salmon, light green and dark green, navy and light blue — it's easy to match the shade to your interior.

Outdoor roller shutters — warmth, privacy and security

Outdoor roller shutters are far more than blackout. Lowered for the night, the shutter curtain creates an air cushion between the window and the shutter — in winter less heat escapes, in summer less of the heat gets in. In our climate, where January nights drop well below freezing, that's a difference you feel both on the heating bill and in the temperature by the sill.

The second reason is privacy and security. A closed shutter screens the interior from the eyes of passers-by, and the anti-burglary versions with locking bars make it harder to force the curtain up from outside — a visible sign that the house isn't standing wide open. We make the curtain from foam-filled aluminium profiles, which are light, rigid and add sound insulation on top.

Top-mounted roller shutters

Top-mounted shutters are fitted together with the window — the box tucks above the frame and, once the reveals are finished, is usually no longer visible from inside. This is the solution for homes under construction and for window replacements, when you're planning new windows and shutters in a single order. It comes out neat and seals tightly, because we design the whole assembly as one.

Adaptive roller shutters

Adaptive shutters are a version fitted to a finished façade, above an existing window — a way to add shutters to windows you already have, with no chasing into walls and no replacing the joinery. They work well when modernising flats and houses where you'd rather not touch the existing frames.

Built-in (under-render) roller shutters

Built-in shutters are concealed within the insulation layer while the building is being renovated and insulated. They come into their own during thermal upgrades: the box goes "under the render" and the façade stays clean, with no protruding parts. When planning a project like this it's worth thinking about them from the outset, before the crew closes up the walls.

Operation — manual or automated?

You can operate outdoor shutters by hand or electrically — a decision we'll make together at the quotation stage. Each approach has its place.

Manual operation

A strap or a crank — inexpensive, reliable, no electricity needed. It makes sense for single ground-floor windows and anywhere you don't need remote control. The indoor blinds FINEZJA, STANDARD and MINI run on a self-braking mechanism, so they stop in your chosen position with no extra effort.

Automation — motor and remote

A motor inside the shutter barrel, controlled by a remote or a wall switch. It's convenient with large glazed areas, patio windows and anywhere lifting a heavy shutter curtain by hand would be a chore. It's especially handy for older people and for windows that are hard to reach. Several shutters can be linked into groups and lowered with a single command — for example, every south-facing window at sunset.

The specific drive brands and available features we settle on a case-by-case basis, as they depend on the type of shutter and what you're after. We won't promise you a "smart home" where a simple remote will do.
