STAR is the warmest aluminium window-and-door system in the Pro-Plast range — we reach for it where aluminium is going into a heated interior and at the same time has to hold large glazing. It is a 6-chamber system with raised thermal insulation and a thermal break, which limits heat escaping through the profile.
The 80 mm build depth makes room for a thick sealed glazing unit — up to 24 mm — while the six chambers in the profile improve the insulation of the frame itself, not only the glass. As a result the heat transfer coefficient of the frame is K = 1,0 W/m²K: a very good figure for an aluminium structure.
