MB-45 is an aluminium system without a thermal break — without an insulating insert in the profile. The lack of a thermal break is a deliberate choice: where there is no warm-cold boundary, insulation is unnecessary, and what counts is slimness, rigidity and appearance. That is why MB-45 goes into internal partitions and shopfronts, and into light structures.

The build depth is 45 mm in windows and 54 mm in doors. With no thermal break the system is slim and light, while the profiles keep the rigidity of aluminium. The system is sealed with EPDM gaskets, resistant to UV and ageing.

When Is Thermal Insulation Not Needed?

The first thing worth settling with aluminium is whether the profile separates warm from cold. If it does — a building entrance, the shopfront of a heated unit — you need a warm system with a thermal break. If it does not — a partition inside the building, a wall within a single temperature zone — insulation is unnecessary, and paying for a thermal break makes no sense.

It is exactly for this second situation that MB-45 was created. It works well where a similar temperature prevails on both sides of the profile, so all the attention goes to strength and looks, not to warmth.
